NSV-DEMONSTRATION AGAINST PS-STATE

March 08, 2007

NSV (Nationalistische Studentenvereniging), a Flemish right-winged Nationalistic Movement of Students, organisated a political incorrect city demonstration which is annual tradition.
This year was Antwerp chosen to be the place of action.
Each time the annual city demonstration takes place, it gets also a specific theme to protest against.
Today was the protest directed against the PS-state.
The PS is the greatest political party of the Walloon region but also the most corrupted in the Belgian political history, including the involvement of murder.
This French socialistic party is therefore often nicknamed 'The Red Mafiya'.
They have a very lowly opinion of the Flemish people and hate Flemish-nationalists outright.
Though the Dutch-speaking Flemings constitute 60% of the Belgians, the country is political dominated by etatist Francophone Wallonia.
The PS-state refuses to give Flandre any kind of independence and therefore is every Flemish-nationalist an enemy that they wished to be seen silenced as quickly as possible.

The demonstration would begin at 8 PM.
The nationalistic militantmovement Voorpost (= Outpost) was called upon for delivering protection because the annual city demonstrations of NSV aren't without risk.
Each year are there political correct adversaries on their balconies who are trying to throw things on the heads of Flemish-nationalists who are marching in the streets.
Things like flowerpots or beerbottles for example which is very dangereous, but also rotten eggs and balloons filled with dung or other filthy excrement are not uncommon.
This says enough about the so-called tolerance political correct people claim to have.
Anyway, as member of Voorpost I answered too to the call of providing security and we gathered at 7 PM, one hour before the demonstration would start.
There were even members of Voorpost that came from our branch in Holland.
Our numbers were about 35-40 men for the duty of delivering protection.

Actionleader of Voorpost, Luc Vermeulen, divided us in 4 equal groups with for each group a subleader.
Two groups charged with the protection of the forward left and right flank and another two groups for protecting the left and right flank from behind.
Although I was a little feverish and beginning to get a cold that day, I was glad to be present and doing my part as Flemish-nationalist.

The moment the demonstration started much attention was given to each window and balcony we passed in the streets, continually staying alert for any kind of danger.
And yes, at a certain moment an incident occured.
Someone purposely dropped a full canet of Coca-Cola down but didn't managed to hit someone's head.
A warning shout was given and I saw the canet burst open when hitting the ground.
With this action the responsible citydweller made a big mistake because it invoced anger and outrage.
The mob tried to smash the frontdoor to get in the appartement and the guy who had throwed the canet must have experienced the fear of his live.
The provided guard by Voorpost tried to calm things down so that the demonstration could continue with its march and I assure you that it isn't a simple task at such moment.
No police present dared to intervene.
At the same time, a little gang of aggressive Maroccans came at our back in a search to cause further trouble.

Now is it also annual tradition that each time the right-wingend nationalistic students come with an action, the left-wingend studentmovements make a countermovement in their search of a confrontation between the two sides.
Not only political correct people take part in this but also Flemish racists like the youth movements of the political Walloon parties FDF and PS.
The police blocked them off to prevent any kind of confrontation.

Eventually we got back to the startingplace and the more than 350 participants listened to a political speech from NSV in which was driven mockery with the president of the political party PS, Elio Di Rupo.
The demonstration was concluded with singing 4 Flemish songs, including our national song of the Flemish Lion.
