DEMONSTRATION AGAINST FDF

The Flemish movement has decennia after decennia consequently battled against the threat of a systematic spreading of French on Flemish terrority.

A language battle that has proven to this very day to be absolutely necessary because the hunger of French imperialists seems never satisfied.

Terrain of action today was the Flemish facilitiescommune Kraainem that borders with the Brussels commune St-Pieters-Woluwe and St-Lambrechts-Woluwe.

Although it's a Flemish commune, a lot of Frenchspeaking people living there constantly refuse to learn and use the Dutch language because they dispise it.

They misuse the temporally intended languagefacilities for the systematic spreading of French on Flemish terrority with the goal to slowly destroying the Flemish identity, piece by piece.

The known Flemishracist political French party FDF organisated today a hatecongress at Castle Jourdain, Kraainem, discussing annexation of 12 Flemish communes.

Reason enough for Voorpost (= Outpost) and T.A.K. (= Language Action Committee) to undertake action against this provocation.

We gathered at 8h30 A.M., the FDF-congress would take place at 9 A.M.

There was already a massive policeforce present, anticipating a possible demonstration of Flemish-nationalists, including dogs and horses.

Our actionleader Luc Vermeulen immediately soothed the police by telling them we weren't looking for any violence, only making use of our democratic right to express our voices of protest in public.

The amount of militants that came to the call was not a bad one, taken in consideration the fact that this demonstration was early in the morning on a sunday and the weather was really bad : it was raining the whole morning.

Because of the arrogant stuborness of the French imperialists in refusing to integrate themselves when living on Flemish soil, we made a lot of noise in delivering them our message to have more respect for the Dutch language.

We loudly cried slogans such as "Cyanide voor het FDF !" (cyanide for the FDF), "Faciliteiten ! Stommiteiten !" (facilities, stupidies) and "Franstalige ratten, rol uw matten !" (Frenchspeaking rats, take your bagage).

We also used fireworks that made much noise (and smoke).

The visitors of the FDF-congress received Flemish passports and little flags with the Flemish Lion on it.

We ended the action with singing our national song "De Vlaams Leeuw" (The Flemish Lion).

Although the action was come to and end, a lot of us went afterwards to an modern statue in the commune called 'evenwicht' (= equilibrium).

We fastened 2 Lionflags on it and a short speech was given that irritated some Frenchspeaking citizens that lived in the environment of this statue.

On the picture above you can also see people holding a linnen cloth with the message : "Welcome in Flandre".

In the press afterwards could be noticed some information errors. They spoke only of Voorpost as initiativetaker and forgot to say that T.A.K. also was involved in this demonstration against FDF.

That isn't very respectfull.

They also reduced (deliberatly ?) the amount of militants that were present.

These kind of errors shouldn't be allowed in the world of professional journalism.
